• If you were drawn by the rich and colorful harmony of the music featured in the movie, "Cold Mountain," then join us to recreate this music of southern legends. Sacred Harp singers and leaders from across Alabama, Florida, and Georgia will "sing for each other" in the clear and full-voiced sounds that span generations so that "the past is always close by." This music welcomes everyone and invites the earthly tones of frayed voices to soar. Whether you've been part of Sacred Harp sings for decades or never before had a chance to experience this distinctive American music form, don't miss this opportunity!

September 15, 2005 - Historical Society Picnic at Birdsong Nature Center! If you haven't visited Birdsong in the last few years, this is your big chance to do that and show your support for the Historical Society at the same time. The last few annual picnics have been some really great events, so plan to be there! Details forthcoming.
